She's had two owners, Designed by esteemed naval architect Angelo Lavranos, she was expertly built as a Racer/Cruiser by John Robertson Yachts in Cape Town, South Africa, and launched at Royal Cape Yacht Club in 1983.

The original owners had the boat for 37 years.  They were from a dinghy club upbringing and many of Fourlove’s crew were dinghy sailing youngsters gaining experience in keel boat ocean racing. She won many local yacht club and national regattas as well as holiday cruises in comfort with the young family along the Western Cape coastline.

In March 1994, the owner, his 22-year-old son and his two mates, sailed ‘Fourlove’ out of Cape Town for their new home in Australia via the Southern Ocean. Bullet proof, this yacht took great care of its young 4-person crew in the most testing conditions. A testament to its design and strength!

They joined Southport Yacht Club on arrival in May,1994 and campaigned Fourlove as a regular entry in the home regattas and club races with continued success.

In January 2021, the much-loved vessel was sold by the original owners and delivered to her new home on the Tweed River NSW, where she is now moored. Unfortunately, their plans for her use have changed and they are looking to find a new and deserving home for this beautiful strong racer / cruiser, where, with some TLC, she will be brought back to her former glory.

In this her 30 year anniversary of having crossed the Southern Ocean to Australian Shores, Fourlove is looking for her next big adventure.
